Artist's Comments

The final outcome for my current assignment titled, "What is communication design?" (First version here)

I kinda rethought the concept over and decided to go with how design surrounds us. It's everywhere, it shapes our world. That's the text that runs along the bottom of the poster.. "Design shapes. Our world.", where "shapes" can be read as the noun or verb; to shape the world. :) I thought that was very catchy when my tutor suggested that idea. Also, the can, bottle, road sign, hot air balloons all represent elements of what graphic design involves.

I'm happy with both the posters I've produced.. each has its own special quality. They were also enjoyable to work on. :) Hopefully the tutor gives me my 50% of my semester's marks.. :P

Very Urbanic style. Smoke, Oil, Pollution. It's a very interesting piece. You may consider to use it as an evironmental protection poster as well as your coursework.

Hmm, that's a good idea. Never really thought about it from a "pollution" point of view since I kept focusing on its graffiti aspect, but I see your point! Thank you :)
